Food Pantries are in serious need of an additional supply of food during the summer months. One of the reasons for this critical need is that students are out of school and do not have access to the breakfast and/or lunch that they receive during the school year. Families are depending on the local pantries as an additional food source.
On August 7th, we will not have a club meeting. I am asking Rotarians to purchase items of food and donate to a food pantry. A suggested list of items will be available at the meetings. Please make donations to the following pantries:
Rotarians with last names ending in A-N:
- Donate to the Church of Ascension (Supported by H.O.P.E.)

Church of the Ascension (supported by H.O.P.E.) Non -Perishables: (examples include, but not limited to, the following items):
- Canned meats (ex. tuna, Vienna sausage, spam, etc.)
- Canned vegetables and fruits Boxed complete meals (including meats)
- Pastas & Sauces
- Peanut Butter
- Coffee, tea, and sweeteners
- Toiletries & cleaning supplies
Rotarians with last names ending in M-Z:
- Donate to St. Mary’s Caring

Note: All Donations to the pantries are tax deductible. If you need a tax-deductible form, just ask!
Please let staff know that you are donating on behalf of the Rotary Club of Lexington Park. Suggest you wear your Rotary gear!
