Each year, the Rotary Club of Lexington Park packs thousands of books in large boxes for shipment overseas to help combat illiteracy.

The Rotary Club, Great Mills High School, and SMJWU teamed up with Basketball 4 LYFE (Love, Youth, Family, and Education) to sponsor the teen game at the 2016 Rise against Cancer Basketball Tournament at Great Mills High School. Basketball 4 LYFE was founded by Mr. Jeff Burrell, who oversees the SMJWU program.
