2018 Rotary Scholars


The Rotary Club of Lexington Park awarded their 2018 Rotary Scholarships at the annual awards Luncheon on Monday June 3, 2018. Outstanding young members of the community were recognized and awarded scholarships by the Club to students who demonstrated a combination of academic excellence and service in their community. The Rotary Club of Lexington Park awarded over $22,000 in scholarships this year to these deserving students in our County.  The Scholarship Committee was composed of: Dr. Mel Powell – Chair, Dr. Ben Latigo, Christine Lennox, Viet Nguyen, Wanda Smith, Tricia Powell, Lauren Sampson, Bob Merritts and Mary Joy Hurlburt of the Rotary Club of Lexington Park (RLCP).  Selected amongst many highly qualified applicants each awardee should be very proud of their accomplishments and recognition of achievement.  Congratulations to each of the 2018 Scholarship Recipients!
