Connecting the World – WE ARE ROTARY: The fourth object of Rotary is “The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service”. The Rotary Club of Lexington Park celebrates this by participating in Rotary’s 4 Way Test Speech Contest, where local high school students compete in oratorial skills illustrating Roary’s 4 Way Test.

The Rotary Club of Lexington Park lost another outstanding leader in April 2021. Marine Corps pilot and decorated war hero, Carl DuBac, eventually created the DCS Corpooration, a leading local Defense firm. Here, he was known for his spirit, drive and genuine compassion. In Rotary, Carl championed the "Running of the Balls", making the event a fun and rewarding annual activity.

Opening Opportunities - I AM ROTARY: Former Marine Officer with an MS in Operations Research, Greg Reuss, further studied social work and is now a well-established community social worker. Soon to lead the Vocational Lane of service in the rotary Club of Lexington Park, Greg is a pathfinding champion of Rotary's environmental initiatives.

Opening Opportunity - I AM ROTARY: Growing her business from one to five Dunkin Donut locations, lawyer and Rotarian Maria Icaza, was designated a Woman to Watch by Southern Maryland News. Maria serves on the Board of Advisors for the University System of Maryland Southern Maryland Regional Center and supports many causes in the community. She is a true leader.

Opening Opportunity - I AM ROTARY: Dr. Salahuddin (Sala) Qazi is a retired professor of Electrical engineering with a specialty in nanotechnology. In 2016, he published a book on "Standalone Photovoltaic (PV) Systems for Disaster Relief and Remote Areas". As a Rotarian, Dr. qui was instrumental in encouraging local high schoolers to build solar suitcases which ultimately provided power in remote areas in Africa.
